Daniel J. Hirsch, age 68, of Clarendon Hills, IL, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by family and dear friends, on Friday, April 25, 2025. Born in Chicago on November 22, 1956, he grew up in Glendale, Wisconsin. Daniel earned his degree in Biochemistry from Harvard University, attended Stanford University School of Medicine, and completed his residency and infectious disease fellowship at Rush University Medical Center.
He spent his entire career with Metro Infectious Disease Consultants, where he was a founding partner. Daniel had a deep passion for problem-solving and the arts. He cherished attending opera and symphony performances with his family and was a lifelong Packers fan. Known for his expertise in wine and cheese, Daniel often served as the family sommelier during gatherings. He particularly treasured family time spent traveling and exploring museums.
Daniel was preceded in death by his parents, Adrienne Hirsch and Roger Hirsch, and siblings Sharon and Brian Hirsch. He is survived by his wife and love of his life, Cindy Drapac; devoted children Esther (Nausherwan) Tirmizi and David Hirsch; loving brother Michael (Michelle) Hirsch; lifelong friend Barry Lessin; and many beloved aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
