Shirlee Swetin, nee Charney, age 95; beloved wife of the late Eugene Swetin; loving mother of Marsha, Phil (Kristin Petersen) and Joel (Sue) Swetin; cherished grandmother of Naomi (Jason) Fine, Jessica Swetin, and Benjamin Petersen; loving great grandmother of Evan and Alexis Fine. Shirlee departed peacefully, surrounded by her children on April 6, 2016. A proud and lifelong Chicagoan and long-suffering CUBS fan, she dedicated her life and unstoppable energies to her large extended family, extensive circle of friends, and numerous charitable organizations. The family will receive condolence calls at Shirlee’s late residence on Sunday, April 10, 2016 from 3-8 p.m. A memorial service will be held at 6:30 p.m. and a shiva minyan at 7p.m. Remembrances may be made to the Association of Late-Deafened Adults (ALDA), providing closed captioning for various events, P.
