Ferdinande Vanderhoek, nee Van Dam a Holocaust survivor, died exactly one month before her 99th birthday. Beloved wife of the late Dr. Benjamin Vanderhoek; devoted mother of Jack (Rachel) Vanderhoek and Rose-Miriam (Rabbi Victor A.) Mirelman; cherished grandmother of Yael (Pere Berkowitz) Mirelman, Jessica (Ross) Freedman, and Matt (Elena), Zeke (Stephanie), Sam (Lisa), and Katy Vanderhoek; adored great grandmother of 12; dear sister of the late Max Van Dam. Private services and interment were held on Thursday. Remembrances may be made to the charity of your choice.
