Joyce T. Zucker, 83, of Green Bay, died Wednesday, October 17, 2012. She was born March 17, 1929 in Chicago to the late Capt. Milton and Rosaline (Takiff) Traxler. She married Dr. Kenneth Zucker on July 31, 1955 in Evanston, IL. Joyce was a member of the Congregation Cnesses Israel, Cnesses Israel Chevra Kadisha, Hadassah, Sisterhood, the American Association of University Women, and a former president of the Brown County Medical Auxiliary. Joyce graduated from the University of Chicago and Northwestern School of Dental Hygiene; and earned an Associate Degree in Accounting from Northeast Wisconsin Technical College. Joyce was a Registered Dental Hygienist and an instructor in the Dental Assistants program at Northeast Wisconsin Technical College. Joyce was a life-long learner and active in civic and charitable organizations. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and sister. Joyce is survived by her three daughters, Dr. Erin (Dr. Barry) Aprison, Lincolnwood, IL, Susan Zucker, Minneapolis, MN, and Amy Zucker (Cecil Key), Dunn Loring, VA; two sons, Daniel (Alisa), Deerfield, IL and James (Joy), Oak Park, IL; nine grandchildren, Margaret and Nathan Aprison, Michael, Jaime and Shana Zucker; Joshua and Rosaline Zucker, Olivia Rose and Ian Key. She is also survived by her sister, Dr. Marjorie (Frank) Alschuler, and brother, Dr. Joseph (Joyce) Traxler. She is preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Kenneth Zucker, and one granddaughter, Abigail Key. A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 19, 2012 at 1:00 PM at Fort Howard Memorial Park 1350 N Military Ave., Green Bay, WI 54303.
